The P.R.O.K.O.S. guide to Paros
Everything you need to plan your island days: when to come, how to get around and the experiences we recommend to every guest.

Paros sits at the heart of the Cyclades, a short ferry ride from Naxos, Mykonos, Santorini and Antiparos. It is an island of whitewashed villages, golden beaches, ancient marble quarries and a gentle, unhurried rhythm that keeps guests coming back year after year.
When to visit
Our season runs from May to mid-September. May and early June bring wildflowers, warm days and quiet beaches; July and August are lively, sunny and cooled by the meltemi wind; September offers the warmest sea of the year and a softer pace.
Getting to Paros
Ferries connect Paros with Piraeus and Rafina near Athens in around three to five hours, as well as with most Cycladic islands. Paros Airport has short domestic flights from Athens. We are happy to arrange a private transfer from the port or airport.
Five experiences not to miss
Walk the old Byzantine path between Lefkes and Prodromos. Spend an evening in Naoussa’s little harbour. Take a day trip to Antiparos and its cave. Visit the ancient marble quarries at Marathi, where Parian marble was once carved for masterpieces such as the Venus de Milo. And watch the sun go down over Parikia bay from your own terrace.
Stay three minutes from Parikia, in peaceful Kakapetra.
